Weapon/Prop Policy for Atlantic Comic Con

At Atlantic Comic Con, we prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all attendees. To ensure a safe environment, we have implemented the following guidelines regarding weapons and props:

Atlantic Comic Con Policies
  1. Weapon Classification:

    • Real Weapons: Firearms, sharp-edged metal blades, and any item that can cause serious harm or injury are strictly prohibited.

    • Prop Weapons: Props resembling firearms, swords, knives, or other weapons must be easily distinguishable from real weapons and incapable of causing harm.

  2. Prop Requirements:

    • Materials: Props must be made from lightweight materials such as foam, plastic, cardboard, or resin. Metal props are prohibited unless they are part of a costume that has been approved by event staff.

    • Blunt Edges: All edges of prop weapons must be blunt and unable to cause injury upon accidental contact.

    • Size Limitations: Props must be no larger than [insert size limit here] in any dimension.

  3. Inspection and Approval:

    • All weapons and props must be inspected and approved by event staff upon entry. Attendees must present their props for inspection at designated check-in points.

    • Props that do not meet safety standards will not be allowed into the event.

  4. Carrying and Use:

    • Props must be carried in a secure manner that does not pose a risk to others. They should be holstered, sheathed, or slung over the shoulder when not actively in use.

    • Brandishing or swinging props in a threatening manner is strictly prohibited.

  5. Event-Specific Rules:

    • During certain events or activities, additional restrictions may apply. Participants should adhere to any specific rules announced for contests, performances, or demonstrations.

  6. Enforcement:

    • Event staff reserve the right to enforce these rules at their discretion. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event premises.

By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. If you have any questions or need clarification regarding our weapon/prop policy, please contact us at info@atlanticcomiccon.com.
